We understand second-home ownership because we lived it.
Before the Outer Banks became our full-time home, it was our second home for years. Hart Home Watch grew from the kind of service we would have loved to have when we were the ones leaving town.
Our story
From second-home owners to year-round OBX locals.
For years, we knew exactly what it felt like to own a second home on the Outer Banks. We loved being here—but we also knew the feeling that came with driving away and wondering if everything at the house was okay.
Was the HVAC running? Did a storm cause damage? Was there a leak, a package sitting outside, or something small happening that could become a much bigger problem before we returned? We would have loved having someone local we trusted to simply put eyes on our home and let us know everything was okay.
Eventually, we fell in love with the Outer Banks so much that we made the move here full-time and now call it home year-round. Hart Home Watch came from that experience. We want to be the local presence for other second-home owners that we wish we had when we were away.
